A wireless network Wi-Fi transmits data using radio or infrared IR electromagnetic waves. Running of this type of network, requires a wireless device connected to the network using traditional wiring and an Access Point.  

AP provides a range to the mobile receivers. Mobile devices should be equipped with a wireless network cards. An implementation  of Wi-Fi allows for a partial reduction of the traditional wiring systems.  The most often is used  as their  complement.
